The Clockmaker is a theatrical musical for the stage written and directed by award winning Playwright and Director Mark E. Swinton. The timeless tale is a heartfelt story for the Christmas season, set in the small mountain town of Patton Hill. On Patton Hill Mountain, time has stood still. The community beckons back to a time where life was slow, people were kind, and the General store was a place to shop and fellowship with neighbors. It is in this easy place that 80 year old Silas Baggins has spent his entire life making clocks for people. He proudly boasts that his life’s mission has been to “help people always know what time it is.” Our story opens a few days before Christmas when Silas is hurrying to fill a backlog of Christmas orders. In the midst of the holiday madness, Silas is hit with an unexpected surprise that is destined to change his life, and the lives of all those who live on Patton Hill Mountain. The Clockmaker is a show stopping, foot stomping good time. The story and musical score fill patrons with the joy of the holiday season. Audience members will laugh, cry, ponder the importance of family, and celebrate the birth of Christ in this unforgettable Christmas story. Don’t miss “The Clock Maker for a limited two night engagement at Light of Joy Church.
